'Probably': Jurgen Klopp thinks he knows what West Ham will be doing after Liverpool's defeat last night

Jurgen Klopp has now made a comment about West Ham United in the wake of Liverpool’s damaging defeat to Everton last night.

Liverpool’s trip to East London for Saturday’s early kick off was meant to be a continuation of their push for the title, but perhaps Jurgen Klopp and his team have now conceded that ambition.

Everton were ultimately too strong for their Merseyside rivals last night, and their gane at the bottom of the table was to Liverpool’s loss at the top.

That being said, things aren’t exactly quiet and calm over at West Ham at the moment either.

Following last weekend’s punishing loss against Crystal Palace, speculation regarding David Moyes’ position has been rife.

It now seems as if the West Ham manager won’t stay beyond his expiring contract this summer, and both Ruben Amorim and Julen Lopetegui are being linked with the job.

Of course, whether Moyes is leaving or not, he’ll be fully focused on Saturday’s game, believing West Ham can still finish their season strongly.

Speaking immediately after the 2-0 defeat to Everton last night, Klopp remained in bullish mood.

And although he admitted his disappointment, Klopp then warned West Ham that Liverpool won’t arrive ready to roll over on Saturday, even if the title-chances are now concluded.

He said: “We have to recover because the quickest of all turnarounds is waiting for us.

“And probably West Ham is waiting and rubbing their hands and hoping that we come there on one leg.

“But I will try absolutely everything to make sure we are much more ourselves than we were tonight.”

Of course, both teams still have plenty to play for in their remaining four games.

Liverpool still aren’t mathematically out of the title-race, and there’s still second-place to play for as well.

And in regards to what could potentially be Moyes’ last four West Ham games, there’s still a European place to compete for.

Perhaps on Saturday we will see two teams akin to a ‘wounded animal’, fighting to do their outbound manager’s justice.

All that being said, West Ham staff are said to have reservations about one potential candidate to replace Moyes.
