Andy Robertson has provided a hopeful injury update with the Liverpool defender recently going under the knife to solve his shoulder problem.
The 29-year-old left-back was injured in the October international break with Scotland as Robertson was initially ruled out for four months, with the left-back due back in Liverpool action well into 2024.
However, as per the club’s official website, Robertson himself now seems confident that he is now progressing well in his rehabilitation, with the Liverpool star having surgery three weeks ago.

Surgery was a success, which was the main thing, no complications from it.
“So far, so good.
I think I’m about three weeks since my surgery now, so everything is progressing well.
Just bit by bit, got to take it week by week.
“Everything has gone well up to this point and hopefully that continues and then hopefully before we know it I’ll be back on the grass.”

With Jurgen Klopp seemingly planning for life after Robertson, it’s clear that the impact of the defender’s absence is being felt across the entire Liverpool squad in recent weeks.
As a result, it would be a dream scenario for the Reds if the left-back was to return from injury sooner than expected, especially with the festive period coming up for Liverpool.
Indeed, the Scottish international is one of Liverpool’s most important and best players, with the squad feeling the impact of Robertson being sidelined through injury in recent Premier League fixtures.
Yet given Robertson’s fitness and physicality, it might not be a surprise if the defender comes back early than expected, something that will be viewed as a huge boost for many fans and Klopp.
