Liverpool would sell Naby Keita to Leicester City even though they are direct competitors, according to Kevin Campbell.
Keita started the 3-1 loss against Real Madrid on Tuesday, but was withdrawn after just 42 minutes for “tactical reasons” after Jurgen Klopp had unexpectedly replaced him with Thiago Alcantara.
“I think Liverpool would sell Keita to Leicester if the money is right,” he told Football Insider.
Campbell suggested the Reds may cash in on Keita and use the money raised to bring another player in.
“Naby Keita wants to play and he isn’t going to be playing regularly at Liverpool.
The former Arsenal and Everton striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the Reds would sanction the sale of the 26-year-old this summer if their valuation was met.
Football Insider understands Leicester are keeping tabs on the Guinea international ahead of the summer transfer window.
