Liverpool are making a mistake in ending their January transfer business. That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Reds’ January plans. As quoted by (13 January), when asked if Liverpool would be making any more signings this window, Jurgen Klopp said “I don’t think so, it’s just the situation is like it is”. The Reds have only signed Cody Gakpo this month with the club still struggling to pick up results in the Premier League. “Liverpool need a midfielder, I don’t care if Klopp says they don’t, they do,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
Gakpo has failed to score for Liverpool in his three outings for the club.
