Paul Robinson has claimed Diogo Jota’s return from injury will be “massive” for Liverpool and will take the pressure off Cody Gakpo. Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one said injuries to Jota, Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz have cost the Reds in the first half of the season. Jota has been sidelined since the 1-0 win over Manchester City on 16 October with a calf injury.
When asked by Football Insider for his reaction to the latest injury news, Robinson said: “Gakpo has not been given much time to settle in.
“It will be massive to have Jota back.
“Jota was excellent last season and I’m sure Klopp is desperate to get him back because he doesn’t have many options right now.
