Mohamed Salah will soon get back into a rich vein of Liverpool form and quieten his critics who have emerged this season, says Lukas Podolski.

The Reds forward has already etched his name into Reds folklore by being part of their recent successes.

“After everything bad comes something good, and I think you shouldn’t create problems with that for Salah,” Podolski said.

Podolski then backed Salah’s critics to “shut up” after the forward gets back in a rich vein of form.

“For me, it’s stupid to criticise great players who have already proven a lot like Salah, you have to deal with criticism, and when you have a long time in that profession, you have to know how to deal with it.” There is no doubt about it, Salah will soon be back banging in the goals again for Liverpool.

“I don’t know if he has received offers to leave Liverpool before renewing his contract, he has decided to stay at Liverpool, and I think he is proud to stay at Liverpool, we are talking about a world-class player.” Podolski admitted that every player can suffer poor form and must “deal with that”.

Salah had insisted before his new deal that he never saw himself anywhere but Liverpool in his current mindset.
