Tottenham supporters are in love with journalist Paul O’Keefe following the latest update on Eberechi Eze’s potential move from Crystal Palace.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal had joined the race for Eze earlier in the window, attracting interest from all over Europe following an incredible spell at Selhurst Park, but it appears that Spurs could be his destination.
The 27-year-old playmaker notched 14 goals and 12 assists in 43 appearances, helping the Eagles to the FA Cup title, even scoring the all-important winning goal at Wembley Stadium against Man City.
Rumours have been circling the England international’s future ever since the summer transfer window opened, and now that Palace have been demoted to the Europa Conference League, his future is more uncertain than ever.

While those at Selhurst Park have been quietly optimistic, or at least hopeful, of keeping their star player, it now appears just a matter of time before Eze is playing under Thomas Frank‘s guidance.
Taking to X (19 August), reliable journalist O’Keefe wrote: “Understand Tottenham have reached a verbal agreement with Crystal Palace for Eberechi Eze,” sending Spurs social media into pandemonium.

Jean-Philippe Mateta, Marc Guehi, and Adam Wharton all continue to be linked with Palace exits, but the 27-year-old’s exit finally looks to be materialising after weeks of reports of rumours.
Eze’s stunning free-kick against Chelsea was cruelly ruled out in their Premier League opener, and that could now be his final actions under Oliver Glasner before moving to North London.
Reacting to the news, one supporter wrote: “Happy Eze day to all who celebrate,” while another labelled the attacking midfielder a “special” player, who could be at Spurs very soon, and a third called the news “pure goosebumps”.
The Lilywhites’ business so far has been mixed, with Joao Palhinha, Mohammed Kudus, and Mathys Tel being signed, and Cristian Romero putting pen to paper on a brand-new contract.
Another attacking signing would also be preferred after Son Heung-min’s emotional departure, but Eze will certainly help plug holes in the squad.
