RB Leipzig are leading the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott following a huge Jurgen Klopp claim.
Elliott is expected to leave Anfield this summer in order to join a club where he is guaranteed game time.
The 22-year-old has been pushed further down the pecking order under Arne Slot, following the recent signing of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.
While Leipzig are the favourites to bring in Elliott, a number of Premier League teams are in the race to sign him, including Tottenham.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Klopp will have a big impact on where the England Under-21 international ends up.

This article contains exclusive comment from Keith Wyness, former Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen CEO.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Klopp seems to be interfering in the Elliott to Leipzig situation, which increases the chances of the move happening.

The former Reds manager is now working with Red Bull as their Head of Global Football, and is reportedly desperate to bring the midfielder to Germany.
Wyness added that Klopp is a “godlike” figure for Liverpool players, given what he has done at the club.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “When Klopp speaks to his ex-Liverpool players, he’s just a godlike figure, and I think it gives him a huge edge in terms of that.
“I’m surprised that Jurgen, although he would want Harvey Elliott, is seen to be interfering to a degree.
I’ve always thought that he would try and stay away from that.
“Harvey Elliott is one of those players that you’d be considering as part of a cash plus player deal.
“I don’t know how strongly Klopp is really pushing that, or how much this is a media narrative.
For Liverpool, Elliott may be the one player who is good enough to be a make-weight in a transfer.
I think that may be something that could actually happen.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool will look to bring in a wide forward if they cannot sign Alexander Isak this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Reds’ first bid for Isak was rejected by Newcastle United, who were unwilling to let the Swedish striker go for a package totalling £120million.
The 25-year-old has made it clear that he wants to move to Anfield and is set to be left out of Eddie Howe’s squad for the first game of the Premier League season.
However, sources say that if Liverpool cannot get a deal for the Magpies striker over the line, then they will turn their attention to replacing Luis Diaz.
