Rangers have been told how they could save their season from disaster under Russell Martin after making a horror start to the campaign.
Martin already faces the sack at Rangers after just four league games and a humiliating exit to Club Brugge in the Champions League.
It doesn’t get any easier for Martin as top of the table Hearts head to Ibrox next, with the Gers already six points off the pace.

Speaking on talkSPORT [10 September], Alex Crook was discussing the future of former Manchester United and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
Crook thinks that Mourinho’s past comments could make him want the job at Ibrox, should it become available.

“Russell Martin isn’t enjoying a brilliant start to his tenure at Ibrox and I remember Jose playing Rangers and speaking in glowing terms about that club,” Crook commented.
“I think his ego would lead him to believe that he could bring the glory days back to the blue side of Glasgow.”
Crook believes “Scottish football is not in a great place right now,” and there could be a surprise winner to the league if things do not change.
“I think Hearts under the part ownership of Tony Bloom, I think they’re going to win the league in the next two or three years unless something changes,” Crook said.
“Maybe Jose Mourinho is the force of nature that could come in and save not just Rangers but rescue Scottish football as a competitive entity.”

Celtic have won nine of the past 10 titles in Scotland, with Rangers‘ solitary success in that time coming under Steven Gerrard in the 2020-21 campaign.
Martin’s time at Rangers may hinge on the next few matches and the need to get three points in the league is paramount.
After Hearts, Rangers host Hibs in the Scottish League Cup before beginning their Europa League journey against Genk.
Their final game of September is away at Livingston, a match Martin may simply have to win to keep his job having previously failed to beat Motherwell, Dundee and St Mirren.
