However, the North Londoners put an end to a 17-year trophy drought when they defeated Manchester United in the Europa League final in May 2025.

Meanwhile, Spurs have enjoyed their fair share of talented players over the years, including Gareth Bale, who went on to star for Real Madrid.

Wales international Brennan Johnson etched himself into Spurs history when he scored the winning goal in their Europa League final victory over Man United.

The winger enjoyed a successful 2024/25 season, notching 18 goals and four assists across all competitions.

As reported by BBC Sport, Johnson joined Tottenham for a fee of £45million in September 2023.

According to Sky Sports in 2019, the North London outfit signed Ndombele for a then club-record fee of £63m.

Tottenham’s record signing is Dominic Solanke, who helped his side win the Europa League in his first season since joining from Bournemouth.

The striker joined Spurs from the Dorset side for a transfer fee of £65m, as per BBC Sport.
