As a result, Rousing The Kop thought it’d be a good time to take a look back at 10 of Diaz’s best strikes in a Liverpool shirt.

Arguably one of Diaz’s best stints at Liverpool came immediately after signing for the Reds three-and-a-half years ago.
The Colombia international immediately hit the ground running, and scored one of his best goals for Liverpool in a 4-0 rout of Manchester United at Anfield.
With the Reds already 2-0 up after a blitz in the first-half, Diaz finished off a lethal counter-attack by slamming home Mohamed Salah’s inch-perfect ball across the six-yard box.
Having spent most of the 2022/23 season out injured, Diaz roared back in the 2023/24 campaign to deliver a solid, 13-goal term.

One of the best of his haul came during a must-win game against Luton Town at Anfield.
With the Reds badly needing a win to stay in the Premier League title race, they headed into half-time 1-0 down.
But after Virgil van Dijk levelled and Cody Gakpo put Liverpool in front, Diaz danced past the Luton defence to fire home at the Kop end.
A good show of his balance and control, this was a memorable finish at a raucous Anfield.
Another of Diaz’s best goals of the 2023/24 season came on the opening day of the season.
With Liverpool facing a tough trip to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea, Diaz pounced on a delightful pass from Salah to finish off a quite brilliant team goal.
The goal may have been all about the pass, but Diaz’s run in behind the defence and two-footed sliding finish was an emphatic way to ring in the new campaign.

One of Diaz’s key attributes has always been his ability to score with his head.
And this absolutely came to the fore when Liverpool took on Tottenham away in North London earlier this season.
Latching onto a quite sublime cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diaz got up brilliantly to steer an unstoppable header into the ground and beyond Fraser Forster.
Perhaps Diaz’s best night in a Liverpool shirt came in November 2024, when the Colombian hit his only hat-trick at the club so far.
It arrived in the Champions League against Bayer Leverkusen, with Arne Slot surprisingly starting Diaz through the middle of the attack.
It paid off handsomely early in the second-half, when the winger claimed Curtis Jones’ delicious through ball before scooping a cheeky finish over goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.

Part of the joy of watching Diaz play is the possibility of him doing something completely unexpected at any given moment.
And that was exactly what he did in August 2023, with Liverpool trailing Brentford in just the second game of the season.
Having gone behind to an early Antoine Semenyo goal, the Reds came roaring back and had Diaz to thank.
7 flicked it up with his first touch and buried a flying scissor kick with his second.
Having scored on the first Anfield game of the season in 2023/24, Diaz repeated the trick in 2024/25, blamming home a sensational counter-attacking goal against Brentford.
Having led the charge out of the box following a Brentford corner, Diaz played in Diogo Jota before going for the return.
Within two passes Liverpool were in on goal, and Diaz smashed home the left-footed finish into the roof of the Anfield Road net.
One of his very best goals for Liverpool.
The 2022/23 campaign was a difficult one for Diaz and for Liverpool more generally.
For all the nonsense that went on during the season, though, it did give us inarguably Diaz’s best goal in Liverpool red.
It felt like a big one at the time, too.
