A rare sound will be heard in Liverpool next weekend in celebration of Liverpool FC's Premier League title win.

On Saturday May 24 at 10.45am, the bells of St Nicholas’ Church on Liverpool's Pier Head will ring out across the city, as a group of passionate Liverpool fans – who are also accomplished bell ringers – undertake a full peal to mark the club’s latest Premier League title win.

The performance will last over three and a half hours of continuous ringing – a demanding and traditional musical feat requiring intense concentration and stamina.

The ringers will be dressed in Liverpool shirts.

The event is being organised by Jason Hughes, a lifelong Liverpool supporter and Kop season ticket holder, who previously rang a celebratory quarter peal in Madrid following the club’s 2019 Champions League triumph in the Spanish capital.

That performance, at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, was rung with his son Daniel under the name of the LFC Supporters Association.

Jason said: “Ringing in Madrid for number six was special.

But ringing a full peal in Liverpool for the league?

Anyone is welcome to spectate.

On Monday May 26, the Liverpool FC trophy parade will pass the church on its journey through the city to celebrate the club's 20th English league title win.

Hundreds of thousands of fans are expected to line the streets, while many more will tune in from home to witness the Premier League trophy parade.

Whether you’re planning on finding a spot along the parade route or watching proceedings from the comfort of your own home, Liverpool Council’s Culture Liverpool team has shared all the information fans will need to plan their day.

This includes a parade map, which shows the exact route the bus will take.

Sharing a list of frequently asked questions, the council also issued one 'key message' to fans, who they said should "plan, plan, plan to make sure your Bank Holiday Monday is exactly how you want it to be."

The victory parade route will start at Allerton Maze and will travel north bound on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and Rocket flyover.
