Man United forward Rasmus Hojlund shared a cheeky message on social media following claims he could leave the club this summer.

Hojlund has faced a challenging spell since making his £72 million move from Atalanta two years ago under Erik ten Hag.

Now, with Ruben Amorim at the helm, Manchester United’s attack is undergoing a major overhaul.

The Red Devils have already brought in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo as part of the rebuild.

Attention has now turned to recruiting a new centre-forward, with Benjamin Sesko reportedly top of the shortlist.

Recent reports have suggested Hojlund could be involved in a potential swap deal for Sesko, as RB Leipzig are said to hold strong interest in the Denmark international.

However, it appears the striker isn’t pushing for an exit, and instead, he has issued a playful response via social media which may be a sign he’s not ready to give up on his Old Trafford career just yet.

Amid growing speculation over his future, Hojlund posted a subtle message on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself celebrating during United’s latest pre-season fixture, accompanied only by a smiling emoji.

Still, the Danish striker has struggled to make a consistent impact since his move, finishing last season with just four Premier League goals and only a single assist.

Football Insider have reported that Man United are now open to offers for Hojlund, and while clubs such as Napoli have registered interest, no official bids have been submitted so far.

Meanwhile, despite competition from Newcastle, it’s believed Sesko would favour a move to Man United if a deal can be struck.

The Magpies have already submitted a club-record offer, but according to The Athletic, it was deemed “insufficient”, with United yet to make an approach for the Slovenian striker.

The Red Devils were also linked with Ollie Watkins earlier in the window, but their shift in focus towards Sesko appears to have ended that pursuit.

Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Man United “baulked” at Watkins’ £60m asking price set by Aston Villa.

Even though Villa had rejected that same figure from Arsenal back in January, it’s believed they are now more open to negotiations around that fee.

However, several previously interested clubs, with United included, have since turned their attention elsewhere.
