Rasmus Hojlund’s future has become clearer amid AC Milan’s interest in the Manchester United forward.
The 22-year-old notched a poor return of four goals in 32 Premier League appearances last term as the Red Devils landed a lowly finish.
Hojlund has become surplus to requirements after Man United signed fellow striker Benjamin Sesko, who performed well for RB Leipzig last term.
Alongside Sesko’s signature, Ruben Amorim has reshaped his attack by acquiring Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

After the former Atalanta man struggled to perform in the Premier League last term, Man United want £30million for Hojlund.
According to the Manchester Evening News [11 August], the striker is open to joining AC Milan ahead of the upcoming Serie A season.
Somewhat similarly to Man United, Milan are one of the historic giants of their domestic league, but struggled last term as they finished eighth in the Italian top flight.

Hojlund’s poor showings, particularly in the Premier League, show that Amorim is right to facilitate the Denmark international’s exit ahead of next summer.

Meanwhile, Sesko’s significantly better return of 13 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances for Leipzig last season proves that the Slovenian will be an upgrade.
However, in recent seasons, the Old Trafford giants have acquired several players who have performed well for their former clubs before struggling at Man United.
For instance, Jadon Sancho was a standout player at Borussia Dortmund, and Antony performed significantly better both during his time at Ajax and throughout his loan spell with Real Betis.
Amorim needs Sesko to end that trend, or he could soon find himself under severe pressure, having guided the Red Devils to a bottom-half finish last term.
The former Sporting boss is tasked with guiding Man United back to their former glory, and needs the former Leipzig man to produce significantly better performances than Hojlund.
