Rasmus Hojlund’s loan exit requirements have come out amid the pending arrival of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig to Man United.

The Red Devils are closing in on a finalised deal for Slovenian striker Sesko for a reported £73.3million fee.

The six-foot-five forward is set to arrive as one of Europe’s most wanted frontmen and hopefully will be the key to solving United’s lack of goals up top.

Leipzig’s number 30 is set to form part of a new look front three following the additions of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford and Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

The 22-year-old’s arrival has put further doubts over the future of Hojlund who has struggled under the weight of the red shirt.

A possible move away this summer seems like a valid option for both parties, whether temporary or permanent.

As per The Guardian (7 August), following heavy spending by the United hierarchy, moving on some of their dead weight is a must this summer window.

The arrival of the Slovenian “will throw the future of Højlund into doubt” as Ruben Amorim looks to be rid of the Dane.

The report details that the club are “open to selling or loaning the striker”, but would want his wages covered and a fee paid if he goes on a temporary move.

Football Insider verdict

United may have to budge when it comes to the Dane’s wages if they want to secure a loan deal.

By doing this, it may open up some viable options within the English top-flight for sides that are a bit more cash-strapped.

Take West Ham for instance, after Michail Antonio and Danny Ings left the club, their only recognised striker is the injury-prone Niclas Fullkrug.

Graham Potter would be the right man to take the Denmark international under his wings and provide him with a reassuring and challenging environment.

Alternatively, if Yoane Wissa is to leave for Newcastle, Brentford would be light up top and they certainly have the funds to acquire the 22-year-old for next campaign.

Igor Thiago missed a significant part of the Bees previous season and Keith Andrews will recognise he needs some sort of back-up to the Brazilian.

Perhaps United’s number nine could find a temporary home in England to try and revive his dwindling career.
