Raul Jimenez paid three touching tributes to his former Wolverhampton Wanderers strike-partner, Diogo Jota, after firing Mexico to Gold Cup glory.
The pair had been travelling across Spain to catch a ferry back to England ahead of the start of pre-season when their vehicle veered off the road after suffering a tyre blowout.
Jota and Silva were laid to rest on Saturday (July 5) in their hometown of Gondomar, with the majority of the Liverpool squad travelling to Portugal to attend their team-mate’s funeral.

Jimenez was unable to attend due to his international commitments with Mexico, but he paid tribute to his former Wolves team-mate before, during and after the game.
The striker initially walked out for the final against the United States wearing a Mexico shirt with ‘Diogo.

Kylian Mbappe did a 20 gesture with his fingers, in reference to the Liverpool forward’s shirt number, after scoring Real Madrid’s winner against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Jota’s former Portugal Under-21s team-mate, Diogo Goncalves, have before recreated his gamer celebration.
And former Liverpool FC women player Rinsola Babajide, who wore the number 20 jersey during her time with Reds, also recreated the celebration when scoring her first goal for Nigeria in their 3-0 win over Tunisia in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
