The Reds broke the British transfer record twice in a single window.
The Premier League champions have strengthened across the pitch, signing Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili, and Hugo Ekitike.
They have also added promising youngsters Giovanni Leoni, Will Wright, and Armin Pecsi, alongside backup goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
However, Ibrahima Konate’s contract situation is becoming a growing concern.
The centre-back is entering the final 12 months of his current deal at Anfield, with talks over an extension yet to reach a resolution.
Real Madrid have been consistently linked with a move for Konate, and reports suggest that a potential transfer to the Spanish giants is already at an advanced stage.
Konate recently joked that his France teammate Kylian Mbappe “calls him every two hours” about a potential move to Real Madrid.
He told Telefoot: “He’s calling me every two hours.
Real Madrid are also eyeing Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano as they look to bolster their defensive options.
The 26-year-old entered the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena this summer, and Los Blancos are keen on signing the Frenchman, according to Bild.
Bayern, however, are expected to prioritise negotiating a new deal with Upamecano.
With Real Madrid considering both Upamecano and Konate as potential free-agent signings, it remains unclear whether they will pursue both players.
A move for Upamecano could potentially cool their interest in Konate.
Madrid have already secured Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool after his contract expired, and the Merseyside club will be eager to avoid a similar situation next summer with the former RB Leipzig defender.
Since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2021, Konate has made 136 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals.
