Real Madrid has confirmed the appointment of a former Liverpool man in a new coaching role.

The former Liverpool defender has been with the Real Madrid’s youth team, with whom he recently won the 2024–25 La Liga Juvenil title.
It was their first league championship since the 2019–20 season, with Arbeloa building a team that has demonstrated exceptional teamwork and resilience throughout the campaign.
Their latest victory adds to their impressive record, which includes multiple UEFA Youth League titles and a Copa del Rey Juvenil triumph in 2021.?
Real Madrid has now confirmed he will make a step up in his coaching by taking charge of Real Madrid’s reserve team known as Real Madrid Castilla.

announces that @Arbeloa will coach Castilla starting in the 2025-2026 season,” a statement from the club read.
“Arbeloa is a legend at Real Madrid and in Spanish football, and one of our club’s most iconic home-grown players.”
The Spaniard who made 92 appearances for Liverpool in three seasons has been building his reputation as a top coach with the Real Madrid youth team.
