Liverpool could have a big end to the transfer window as they continue to push hard for their top targets.
The Reds made moves earlier at the beginning of the summer and made sure they got the players they wanted before other teams even stood a chance.
Now, after a relatively quiet middle of the window, they appear to be going for one last push, with there being a handful of players on their radar and keen on a move.
What positions Liverpool need are very much up for debate, with some believing that defensive reinforcements need to be made, while others think there are opportunities to strengthen the attack further.
August will certainly be a big month for the Reds and fans should be excited, with one player in particular now very likely to sign according to journalist David Lynch.

It really has been the transfer saga of all transfer sagas, and Alexander Isak’s potential move to Liverpool is simply the biggest talking point this summer.
It is clear that Isak wants to move to Anfield and the Reds desperately want him to join, with it seeming like a matter of time until it finally happens.
A lot is dependent on Newcastle, however, meaning it is hard to see which way this one will go, although Lynch has given Liverpool fans hope and indicated why it is likely to happen.

“The Barcola stuff was being played down quite heavily by Liverpool which made me think that at this very moment, there aren’t any legs in that,” Lynch said on the Sports Mole YouTube channel.

“The fact that’s being played down but the interest in Isak is not, the fact the player is so adamant that he wants to go, the fact Newcastle are chasing replacements quite clearly, nothing here adds up to Newcastle planning for Isak to stay.
“From a Liverpool perspective, all the signs are really positive that a deal will eventually get done, there are still a few hurdles to clear, but all the signs show that is the direction of travel and a deal will eventually get done.”
When a player wants out and is starting to cause real problems around the club, the best thing to do usually is to just let them go.
However, Newcastle have other ideas and, firstly, want to sign at least one replacement before even considering another Liverpool offer.
As well as this, Newcastle might be delaying any possible deal so they do not have to play against Isak in gameweek two, with manager Eddie Howe knowing how ‘ruthless’ his striker can be.
As of now, Liverpool can only really play the waiting game and hope the Magpies start signing some players that will sanction Isak’s exit, although this one might go right down to the wire.
