Liverpool might be in the middle of their pre-season tour of Asia, but things are heating up for them in the transfer market back at home.

The Reds are one of the biggest clubs in the world and this summer, they are certainly living up to that title.

They have made four major signings so far and spent just under £300m, although by the end of the week, this could have increased significantly.

With Luis Diaz almost out of the door at Anfield as well, finances have been raised, and now a domino effect could be about to happen and the Reds might just make some season-defining transfers.

It has been the transfer saga of all transfer sagas this summer, but it finally looks like the Reds are getting somewhere in their pursuit of Alexander Isak.

According to reports, the Swede has agreed personal terms with Liverpool and they will meet with Newcastle in the next 48 hours to discuss what should happen next.

Now Diaz has almost gone, a formal bid for Isak is expected to follow soon, with the player himself only wanting to join Liverpool.

Newcastle want to find a replacement before selling him, however, suggesting this saga could drag out for the majority of August.

As mentioned, Diaz’s departure could lead to something of a domino effect, with Liverpool looking at potential replacements for the Colombian.

One player they could turn to is RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, with the Norwegian a target if they fail to sign either Rodrygo or Malick Fofana.

With Jarell Quansah leaving and excelling so far at Bayer Leverkusen, and Joe Gomez picking up yet another injury, the Reds are keen to bring in a new defender.

However, Inter Milan have essentially reserved Giovanni Leoni for themselves and the player will make the move once a space frees up.

This will likely be after they have made sales, but either way, the Reds look set to miss out on yet another young centre-back and will have to look elsewhere.
