The transfer market is something Liverpool fans simply cannot take their eyes off as things keep changing for them daily.

So far this summer, the Reds have been one of the busiest teams, and despite spending close to £300m, they are far from finished.

Liverpool fans must feel like they are dreaming as the number of quality players they have brought in is nothing short of sensational, with the best still perhaps yet to come through the door.

Alexander Isak is the transfer saga of all transfer sagas, and Sunday’s developments might just prove key in whether it happens or not.

Liverpool want Isak and Isak desperately wants Liverpool, but now it is completely out of either of their hands and all depends on Benjamin Sesko to Newcastle.

The Magpies want to sign a replacement before letting go of the Swede and they believe the Slovenian is the perfect replacement, although the chance of him actually signing is still 50/50.

Manchester United are also very keen on the striker and now the decision is very much up to the player himself, with the 22-year-old set to decide very soon.

Until then, the Reds just need to be patient and wait it out, with everyone associated at the club having their fingers crossed that Sesko opts for St James’ Park rather than Old Trafford.

MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES

It has not just been the first-team who have wanted a striker this summer, but the academy have too, with the Under 21s signing Will Wright, although no official announcement has been made.

The 17-year-old made his debut on Saturday against Hull City, with the former Salford City striker coming off the bench to play the last 30 minutes.

He may not have scored but the fact he is playing significantly above his age bracket is a signal of intent for Liverpool, suggesting he could go on to be the next big thing.

Federico Chiesa is a player who has been tipped to leave all summer long, but as he only wanted the Serie A, a move was trickier than the club would have first hoped for.

However, with Ademola Lookman submitting a transfer request at Atalanta, that could open the door for Chiesa to go, with the Italian outfit seeing him as a potential replacement.

This is certainly a story that could gain traction in the coming days, but it would not be a surprise if Chiesa was not a Liverpool player come the start of the new season.

Elsewhere, Richard Hughes may have pulled off another genius tactic in the transfer market, while Liverpool fans had a lot to say about Luis Diaz’s Bayern Munich debut.
