Chelsea supporters reacted all but unanimously to a loan star’s performance after he caught the eye in the Champions League.
Chelsea lost to Bayern Munich in their return to the Champions League with a 3-1 loss at the Allianz Arena.
The reigning Conference League winners were criticised for their performance, with former Aston Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor questioning Chelsea’s defensive options for the season.
While Cole Palmer earned his praises after scoring on his Champions League debut with the Blues, another Chelsea attacker, who is currently out on loan, also made a strong impression and sparked a wave of reaction.
Chelsea loanee Geovany Quenda impressed with a dazzling performance against Kairat in Sporting CP’s 4-1 victory.
The 18-year-old produced a moment of individual brilliance as he danced through the defence and calmly slotted the ball in for the side’s third goal.
He then turned provider as he also assisted team-mate Alisson Santos.

Chelsea signed Quenda back in January ahead of Man United in a deal worth £40 million.
He was immediately loaned back to Sporting for the rest of the season, with the 18-year-old playing regularly on the right-flank.

It is understood that Chelsea manager Maresca was directly involved in talks to sign Quenda and sees him as a long-term asset.
He has featured in every single fixture for the Portuguese side this season, whilst assisting three goals in 208 minutes.
Now, he has also proven his quality on the biggest stage and his reputation is growing quickly, as his development in Portugal continues.
Quenda rejected Man United and former manager Ruben Amorim in favour of a move to Maresca’s side due to his desire to play as a winger instead of a wing-back.
Despite reports of a deal close with the Red Devils, Quenda reportedly underwent a secret medical with Chelsea before the deal was completed.
The Portugal under-21 international has started the 2025-26 campaign in electric form and following his latest performance, Chelsea fans have been quick to voice their excitement.
