One Liverpool defender could be on the move this summer with a new club interested in him.

However, at 27-years-old, it’s now clear that the next stage for him should be a permanent move away from the club for the sake of his career.

Selling him will be a priority for Edwards and Hughes, and they will be hoping to rake in as much profit as possible.

Which is why it might be music to the ears of Edwards and Hughes that a new club in Leeds United are apparently interested in Phillips’ services.

He has been a very useful squad player over the years, but letting him go now is definitely the best decision Liverpool could make.
