And, now that the 2025-26 season is just on the horizon, it’s not a surprise to see several clubs linked with an interest.

With the amount of changes that have already occurred at Anfield this season, it’s hard to see why Liverpool would want to get rid of Chiesa, especially if Nunez and Diaz are going to leave this summer.
Indeed, the Italian didn’t have the best of campaigns last term, but the fact that he only cost the club around £12.5million to sign in the first place means that he was a risk-free investment.
Indeed, players such as Rodrygo Goes and Olympique Lyon’s Malick Fofana have both been linked with an Anfield switch this summer, but with both likely to cost over £50million, it’s hard to see how the Reds would have enough money to bring both in.

If they can keep hold of Chiesa, it’s one less position for them to worry about and, with Mohamed Salah as their starting right-winger, it’s hard to see why the Italian couldn’t be his back-up.
Of course, these are all just ifs, buts and maybes at the moment, but on the face of things, selling Chiesa this summer makes little-to-no sense.
