Liverpool are set to see a huge change in their attacking ranks this summer, with Federico Chiesa one player who could leave.
The Italian international only joined last summer yet has struggled for fitness and regular minutes with Liverpool, with Chiesa this week linked with Tottenham as clubs continue to circle the former Juventus winger.
A return to Serie A is also being mooted with Chiesa, with Italian players who haven’t worked out in the Premier League often returning home, with the Liverpool forward one such figure who could do just that this summer.
Yet AC Milan have now cast their eyes on another Liverpool attacker heading into the summer transfer window.

According to CalcioMercato, Luis Diaz’s entourage have been approached by a number of top Italian clubs, with Milan one of the sides to make contact with the Liverpool winger’s team over a potential move.
Diaz has been linked with an exit from Liverpool with Saudi Arabian clubs interested in signing the Colombian international, with the Reds valuing the forward at £85m should an offer come in for the former FC Porto star.
Although Diaz has enjoyed his best season yet with Liverpool, the forward’s reluctance to sign a new contract could inspire the Reds to sell the 28-year-old attacker this summer, especially with teams like Milan interested in the winger.

However, with Milan currently placed ninth in Serie A and some way off from finishing in a UEFA Champions League spot, there’s a real chance that the Rossoneri can’t afford to sign Diaz, especially with Liverpool making such strong demands.
Diaz is a player who seemingly looks set to leave Liverpool in the next 12 months, even after such a productive season under Arne Slot that has resulted in the winger’s best year yet with the Merseyside giants.
Yet with Diaz unlikely to sign a new contract, the time is now for Liverpool to consider selling the forward, and the Reds have play hardball when it comes to commanding a good fee for the Colombian international.
Whist Milan might not have the funds to meet Liverpool’s demands for Diaz, other club could be willing to spend big on the attacker, a move that could allow the Reds to invest in the long term for the squad under Slot.
