Trent Alexander-Arnold has announced his departure from Liverpool, with the defender the first of many players expected to leave Anfield this summer.
Real Madrid are expected to sign Alexander-Arnold with the England international this week confirming via social media that he will leave the Reds after 20 years at the club, a move that has already split Liverpool fans and pundits.
Heading into the summer, though, Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool, with rumours now circulating that Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in Diogo Jota, two exits that could leave the Reds short in the attack.
Yet the agent for another Liverpool forward is now believed to be heading to Anfield to discuss his client’s future with the transfer window weeks away from opening.

According to CalcioMercato, Federico Chiesa’s agent is to meet with Liverpool officials to discuss whether or not the forward has a future at Anfield, with the Italian international hardly featuring for the Reds this season.
Chiesa was signed by Liverpool last summer in a £12m deal from Juventus, with the 27-year-old attacker’s campaign being blighted by injuries and a severe lack of match fitness, resulting in just over 400 minutes of action for the Anfield side.
Although Chiesa has been described as an ‘incredible’ player by Paulo Sousa, many would agree that the forward’s first year in England has been a disappointment, though much of this can be attributed to physical problems rather than performances on the pitch.

And with Chiesa’s agent set to sit down with Liverpool to discuss the forward’s future, there might be a sense from the club to give the Italian another shot before throwing in the towel, especially after a summer of rest and a full pre-season with the Reds.
Chiesa has impressed when given a chance at Liverpool this season despite playing just over 400 minutes of football, with the winger scoring in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium and featuring in enough games to qualify for a Premier League winners’ medal.
And whilst Chiesa is being linked with an exit from Liverpool, the Reds likely know deep down that the attacker needs more season in the Premier League to really show what he’s capable of, with this year always feeling like it was going to be a trial run.
Indeed, Chiesa has all the quality in the world to become a superstar for the Reds, and a pre-season of no injuries and regular minutes could be what’s needed to get the winger back to his best and firing in the Premier League.
