Arsenal made a late attempt to sign Isaque Silva, an 18-year-old attacking midfielder from Fluminense, who has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Manchester City. Despite Arsenal's efforts, Silva is set to join Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, having agreed to a deal reportedly worth €10 million plus €2 million in add-ons with Fluminense.
The Brazilian teenager has been part of Fluminense’s first team since late 2024, making 11 appearances, but has mostly played in youth competitions this season. While Arsenal reportedly submitted a higher financial offer than Shakhtar's, Silva and Fluminense have committed to the Ukrainian side, with Silva expected to travel to Donetsk for his medical and signing on August 26, 2025.
To facilitate the transfer, both Silva and his representatives reduced their stakes in his image rights, enabling the deal to progress smoothly. Fluminense also secured a 10% sell-on clause for any future transfer of the player.
