Liverpool have already undergone a summer of change at Anfield despite only being in the first month of the transfer window.

Nobody expected the Reds to be as good as they were in the 2024-25 campaign, but thanks to the performances of players such as Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch, everything aligned and led the Reds to a title.

The striker had a below-par campaign once again throughout the 2024-25 season, with Liverpool now looking to sell the Uruguay international.

In fact, a new report from Italian outlet La Gazzetta Dello Sport outlines that the Serie A Champions are ‘focused’ on Nunez and want to do everything possible to take him to Naples next season.

The report also outlines that Napoli’s CEO Aurelio De Laurentiis has been allowed to ‘bombard’ the Reds with calls trying to get them to knock their asking price down so that a deal can be sanctioned.

As with the sale of any player from any club, Liverpool will want to get as much money as possible for their player.

Indeed, there’s still the chance that the Uruguay international stays at Anfield, but in the grand scheme of things, it feels like the Reds have done all they can to get the most out of Nunez.

There’s no knowing what the future has in store, but if Nunez doesn’t end up moving away from Anfield this summer, it’ll come as a massive shock.
