Liverpool did not just lose a great footballer when Diogo Jota died, but they also lost an amazing person.
When news of Jota’s passing first emerged, most fans were praying that it could not be true, but, unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
This resulted in their car veering off the road and catching fire and both brothers passing away.
Tributes have poured in from across the globe for both players, with Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher among those to post a heartfelt message.

And, although the news is only a couple of days old, the FA are already planning ways to celebrate the life of Jota.
Liverpool have delayed their return for pre-season to allow their players some extra time to deal with the grief after Jota’s passing.

And, as per a new report from BBC Sport journalist Sami Mokbel, the FA are ‘open’ to dedicating the occasion to Jota’s life.
