Liverpool have plenty to sort out in the final month of the summer transfer window.

It has been an abnormally busy time in terms of incomings for the Reds, and there are still a few things to get done in that regard.

But Arne Slot will also be keen to trim the Liverpool squad, with a number of exits, both on loan and permanent moves, expected to happen.

The biggest of those will likely be regarding Darwin Nunez.

Liverpool reportedly received a bid for Nunez from Al Hilal and it remains to be seen whether that eventually goes through.

In terms of loans, Slot has taken another decent look at some Liverpool youngsters during pre-season so far.

Not many were granted the chance to travel to Hong Kong and Japan, but those who did acquitted themselves well.

While that may have been the case, though, a loan for at least one of them is still being lined up.

Plenty of the headlines from Liverpool’s tour have been about Rio Ngumoha.

Ngumoha looks set for a first team role, while fellow teenager Trey Nyoni is expected to get more minutes too.

Beyond those two standouts, Luca Stephenson also looked impressive during cameos against Preston and AC Milan.

That followed on from a ‘fantastic’ loan at Dundee United for Stephenson last season, before which he also made an impression on Slot last summer.

And according to the Liverpool ECHO, the 21-year-old caught the eye of coaches again.

They claim that Stephenson ‘impressed senior coaching staff’ during games as well as in training sessions.

Despite this, the versatile talent is said to ‘welcome’ another loan move for the campaign ahead, and reportedly has interest from Swansea, Cardiff, Reading and Rotherham.

Meanwhile, Scottish side Aberdeen are reportedly considering a permanent move to sign Stephenson.

Should he go on loan, it is claimed that the youngster will most likely sign a new contract before departing.

It may have gone unnoticed during a busy day for Liverpool, but young right-back Isaac Mabaya left for Wigan on loan on Friday.

And the ECHO claim that Mabaya and Stephenson are likely to be joined by James McConnell and Lewis Koumas in finding temporary homes.

McConnell, who is currently recovering from injury, is said to have had loan enquiries from West Brom, Ipswich, Derby, Oxford and Swansea, while also being tracked by French club Metz.

Koumas, meanwhile, reportedly has a host of clubs including Norwich, Sheffield United, Hull, Preston, Oxford, Birmingham and Wrexham on his tail.
