According to the Liverpool Echo, Peter Grant, who played for Celtic for 15 years between 1982 and 1997 believes that Liverpool star Andy Robertson was wrong to talk about wanting to play for the Hoops.

• Liverpool target Ousmane Dembele has a £42m release clause in his contract • Marcos Braz has shut down rumours about Liverpool target Joao Gomes If Andy has to sit out for the Reds’ first game after the international break against Brighton and Hove Albion, Kostas Tsimikas can put in more than just a shift for the Scotsman, as the ‘Greek Scouser’ has been in sublime form this season.

He will return to team training post the international break as per the club’s official website.

Given that he also mentioned that in an ideal situation, he would want to end his career at Liverpool, Grant’s comments rather come from a state of obscurity.

Robertson is a fan favourite among the Reds and has on multiple occasions expressed his desire to end his playing career at Anfield.

Robbo admitted that being a boyhood fan of the SPL giants, it was always at the back of his mind to play for them in his prime years.

The former-Celtic midfielder believes that Robbo’s focus should be on the present, and on getting more accolades with Liverpool.
