The Senegalese star was a revelation at Liverpool but has not hit the same heights since departing.
The Reds’ 20th league title was nothing short of spectacular but a key reason for winning it was down to the foundations that had been laid by previous managers and players.
Sadio Mane was just one of those who helped put Liverpool in good stead after contributing so heavily to their success under Jurgen Klopp.
Since departing the Reds in 2022, though, the winger hasn’t exactly taken his career to the next level having struggled at Bayern Munich before joining Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia as he enters the twilight of his career.
However, now 33, Mane’s career could be about to take another twist, with this potentially causing a domino effect for Luis Diaz, who could depart Liverpool this summer.

Luis Diaz has been a top target for a few clubs this summer, but Liverpool’s eye-watering £100m asking price may put a few off, especially Barcelona, as they continue to battle financial constraints.
However, as many have come to find out, Saudi clubs appear to have a war chest of unlimited cash that they are willing to spend, with Al-Nassr taking the next steps in their pursuit of Diaz.

According to The Daily Mirror, Al-Nassr have told Mane that he is free to depart the club this summer, meaning a vacancy opens up for a new left-winger.
The Saudi side, who could also lose Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, are very keen on Diaz despite Liverpool not wanting to sell, although the right offer might be too good to refuse.
Al-Nassr are ready to bid for Diaz and are said to be able to offer around £71.6m for his services if they don’t manage to keep Ronaldo, a fee Liverpool are likely to reject.
However, now 28, it would be no surprise to see the Reds sell the Colombian despite him being so key to their success, with targets already being lined up.
Despite Diaz saying he is happy at Liverpool, he also admitted that his representatives are speaking to other clubs, with his preference being Barcelona if he is to leave.
Their sporting director Deco admitted he admires Diaz in the past and the Spanish club have had an approach turned down by Liverpool for his services, although financial implications may stop Barcelona from advancing any further.
Rafael Leao was said to be a target for Liverpool if Diaz was to leave, although Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that no contact has been made as of yet, suggesting the Reds are confident in keeping the Colombian.
The summer of change is certainly well underway but time will have to tell if Diaz is still a Liverpool player by the end of the transfer window.
