Liverpool have already got the ball rolling on their summer spending with the Premier League season not even over yet.
The Reds are set to announce Jeremie Frimpong this week after activating the Bayer Leverkusen defender’s £30m release clause, with the Dutch international expected to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold for next season.
As well as Frimpong, Liverpool are intensifying their interest in signing Florian Wirtz, who could be set for a move to the Premier League having made a name for himself at Leverkusen as one of the best players on the planet.
Yet away from Leverkusen, Liverpool have now been told how much they need to pay if they want to sign one of the most exciting prospects in world football.

According to L’Equipe, Olympique Lyonnais have set a €40m (£34m) asking price on Rayan Cherki this summer, with Liverpool one of the many clubs from around Europe interested in signing the 21-year-old attacking midfielder.
Noted by Breaking The Lines as possibly ‘the most naturally gifted player in world football currently,’ Cherki confirmed he will leave Lyon over the weekend, with Liverpool long-linked with the France youth international.
Indeed, Liverpool are in the market for a no.
10, and although Wirtz remains the internal favourite for the Reds, Cherki could be a fantastic alternative if a deal for the Germany international cannot be struck this summer.

And with Lyon now naming their price for Cherki, Liverpool know what needs to be done if they’re to bring the 21-year-old talent to Anfield, who could develop into a world-beater under Slot and playing alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah.
Cherki is without question one of the best talents in world football, with the French attacking midfielder finishing his sixth and best season as a senior player yet having made his debut at Lyon as a teenager at 16.
And with Cherki now leaving his boyhood club for good this summer, the youngster might be too good for Liverpool to pass up on, with the Ligue 1 sensation a perfect fit for the Reds at a price that is more than affordable.
Although a player like Wirtz might be more of a finished product, Cherki’s potential makes the Lyon youngster such an exciting prospect for a club like Liverpool, especially with Slot as good as he is at developing attacking talents into superstars.
