However, as per a report from Spanish outlet AS, Liverpool believe they need to be ‘brave’ and will try to convince him to stay during the season.

AS also add that sometimes people can be ‘convinced’ to change their minds, but it would be a ‘massive risk’ for Liverpool, especially if they can earn some money from his sale this season.

Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store, but even with the likes of Marc Guehi being linked with a Liverpool switch, it feels like players need to be added to the Reds’ defensive ranks, rather than taken away.
