However, with there still being over two weeks left of the transfer window, there’s still time for things to change, especially with the future of some Liverpool players still up in the air.
One of the main questions hanging over the head of Liverpool this summer has been where the future of Ibrahima Konate lies.
And now, as per a report from Spanish outlet Diario Sport, it seems like Liverpool may now have an even harder time of extending his stay.

The Spanish outlet have reported that Real Madrid are now ‘aware’ that a transfer worth between £17.2million – £21.5million could be a ‘possibility.’
This is something that Los Blancos ‘accept’ if an agreement for the free transfer of the Frenchman can’t be reached by the end of the season.
However, the report also outlines that Real Madrid know that if Konate does stay at Liverpool this season, they’ll be giving the Reds a ‘headstart’ in the Champions League as they’ll have two of the best centre-backs in the world at their disposal.
Although Konate may have less than 12 months remaining on his current Liverpool deal, he’s still regarded as one of the best centre-backs in the world, which is why he’s worth far more than £21.5million.

Although fans would prefer to keep Konate at the club, if a deal for an extension can’t be agreed upon, it makes no sense for Liverpool to lose yet another one of their starting players for nothing.
