Liverpool could find themselves with a big gap to fill in midfield this summer amid continued uncertainty over Georginio Wijnaldum’s future at Anfield.

And in one of his most recent games, the 5-0 win over Den Haag before the international break, he made a staggering 111 passes at 91.9 percent accuracy.

The Netherlands international has been superb for the Reds since his 2016 move from Newcastle, clocking up over 200 competitive appearances for his club.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport – via the Daily Mail – have now reported that Ajax prodigy Ryan Gravenberch could be a potential target for Liverpool.

The Daily Mail says Gravenberch is rated at £30million which, if you consider how good he is already and how many years he has ahead of him, surely that would constitute a bargain.

Over the course of the season, Gravenberch has averaged 1.5 tackles, 1.6 interceptions, 1.3 shots, 63.6 passes, 1 key pass, 0.4 crosses and 2 long balls per game in all competitions.

A central midfielder who has also played at defensive midfield, he has been compared to Frank Rijkaard and Paul Pogba by former Ajax youth team coach Brian Tevreden.
