Liverpool are facing a fight to keep hold of Luis Diaz as the Colombian searches for a route out of Anfield.

Diaz had a super season with the Reds, scoring 13 goals on the way to winning the Premier League title.

Things had appeared to be moving in the right direction in terms of a new contract for the Colombian, with Diaz stating his wish to stay at Liverpool towards the end of the season.

However, it has since emerged that the Reds have no intention of extending their No.

Reports have claimed that Diaz has been upset by Liverpool’s position and is angling to leave.

Despite their wish to keep him on his current terms, though, it has also been widely reported that Liverpool do not plan on selling Diaz.

But with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Al Nassr all strong admirers of the 28-year-old, it is clear that something has to give.

And according to a new report from BILD, Liverpool‘s approach is softening.

Liverpool’s stance on Diaz has been a tricky one to get to the bottom of.

They clearly have no plans to extend his contract, meaning a sale this summer while his value is high simply makes sense.

With cash-rich clubs like Bayern and Al Nassr interested, along with another big-hitter in Barcelona, Liverpool could make a big sale on Diaz.

And that’s exactly what BILD claim could happen.

They report that after Jamal Musiala picked up a horror injury during the Club World Cup, Bayern have made Diaz their top summer target.

The Colombia international has reportedly been in discussions with Bayern over a contract, with an agreement supposedly now reached.

With Diaz seemingly giving his word to the German champions, it is claimed that, in a change of heart, ‘Liverpool are open to talks’ about selling the winger.

The Reds are said to value Diaz at around £60m, although club-to-club talks are reportedly yet to take place.

As the news from Germany around Diaz starts to hot up, Barcelona appear ready to make another move as well.

That’s according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who posted to X on Monday morning to reaffirm Barca’s intention to try again.

“Barcelona plans have not changed: the intention is to try make new approach for Luis Diaz soon,” says Romano.

Diaz, keen on the move.

“He’s the main target for Barca as winger, while FCB are aware of difficult negotiations ahead club to club after two approaches already rejected.”

Earlier reports suggested Barca are willing to wait on Diaz as a sign of respect while Liverpool mourn Diogo Jota.
