Liverpool are on the hunt for a new striker this summer, with Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko two players who are wanted by the Reds.

The duo have been two of Europe’s most productive forwards this season, with Liverpool eyeing Gyokeres with the Swedish international once again scoring 50+ goals in all competitions for Sporting Lisbon as the Reds prepare a bid for Sesko.

With Darwin Nunez set to leave Liverpool, funds could be raised to bring in a truly world-class centre-forward, with Arne Slot relying heavily on Mohamed Salah as his main source of goals with Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo also chipping in.

Yet alongside Gyokeres and Sesko, Liverpool have added a third striker to their shortlist for the position heading into the summer.

According to TalkSport, on loan Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is also wanted by Liverpool, with the Napoli-owned forward expected to be sold for good in the summer after an incredible year in Turkey with the Istanbul giants.

Osimhen has hit 33 goals and managed eight assists in 37 games for Galatasaray, with the Nigerian international’s form now catching the eye of Liverpool as the Reds ramp up their search for a new striker this summer.

Liverpool have been linked with Osimhen in recent weeks as the battle to sign the former LOSC Lille star set to e an epic one given how low Napoli’s asking price is expected to be for the 26-year-old attacker, who last year was worth well over £100m.

And with the Reds now adding Osimhen to their three-man shortlist of strikers, a big decision has to be made leading into the summer on which player Liverpool chooses to target, with the Anfield side not alone in their interest for the trio.

Liverpool are set to spend big on new players this summer, with a top striker a high priority for Slot having gone the entire season without an established goalscorer leading the line for the Reds.

Yet with three class options in Gyokeres, Sesko and now Osimhen being targeted, any of the trio could be a dream fit for Liverpool given the players they will be surrounded by should they make the move to Anfield.

Indeed, Liverpool’s transfer department have been in good form in recent years when it comes to making key signings, and fans will trust the club’s expert staff to identify the player who could lead Slot’s attacker for the next few years.
