No future for Nathaniel Phillips at Liverpool
In our opinion, there is no future for Nathaniel Phillips at Liverpool, and a permanent switch to Bournemouth would make sense.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are now ready to sell Nathaniel Phillips, with Bournemouth interested in signing the central defender on a permanent contract, according to The Liverpool Echo.
The Liverpool Echo have reported that Liverpool have told Bournemouth to pay £15 million in transfer fees if they want to make Phillips’s loan deal permanent in the summer transfer window.
Described by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as “unbelievable” in Goal.com in April 2021, Phillips has a lot of potential, and he would be able to fulfil that only by playing regular first-team football.
Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez all will be ahead of Phillips in the pecking order at Liverpool next season.
The Express had earlier reported that it will cost Bournemouth £8 million in transfer fees to sign Phillips on a permanent deal.
The Reds also anticipate more interest in the 25-year-old central defender in the coming weeks, according to the report.
