Liverpool have similar targets to fellow Premier League clubs and will do everything in their power to get to the front of the queue.
The Reds have spent big so far this summer but they have also spent wisely, with the additions they have brought in filling a void.
The attack is an area they are specifically trying to strengthen and it could become more of a necessity if the likes of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz depart.
Without quality options in front of him, Florian Wirtz’s creative output cannot be maximised, something Liverpool will need to ensure happens to get full value for the £116m they have spent on him.
There are a few attacking targets that could help bring the best out of the German and there is one that keeps being linked a lot, with the Reds seeming happy to hijack Nottingham Forest’s move if it means bringing him to Anfield this summer.

Liverpool’s attack is one of the hardest to get into in the whole of Europe.
That is why they are perhaps looking for a younger alternative who can learn from the current stars and eventually take over when their time has come.
Olympique Lyonnais winger Malick Fofana is a player who could do just that.
According to the Independent, Liverpool are one of the clubs keeping in close contact with the player, with the French club wanting around £51.5m to let him go.

However, it is Nottingham Forest who are the only club to agree a deal with Lyon, although the player is yet to say yes and is said to be waiting for a Champions League team to make a move.
But, due to the French side’s financial difficulties, they do need to sell and Fofana is a player who could bring in the most money, suggesting the race for his signature is still wide open.
Finding a new forward based on Liverpool’s current options could prove rather difficult as they need someone who has quality in abundance and needs some time to develop due to the players ahead of him in the pecking order.
Fofana might be just that player, however, as one of his best traits is his versatility as he can play anywhere along the frontline, meaning he could get a decent amount of game time but just filling in.
As well as this, he also has the talent to make a difference each time he gets the chance, with the 20-year-old getting 11 goals and five assists for Lyon last season.
The Belgian made his debut for the national team recently too, showing how he is gaining recognition internationally, and he might now be ready for the next move to take his career to another level.
