Liverpool supporters are readying themselves for their team’s biggest transfer window in years this summer.

The Reds have been quiet in recent times, barely adding to the squad at all since the summer of 2023.

That looks set to change this year, though, with Liverpool chasing several early deals in the days following the end of the season.

Sporting director Richard Hughes has been earning his money, leading Liverpool’s efforts to sign Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.

Frimpong was seemingly the first to get over the line, but more than a week on from the Dutchman reportedly passing a medical, his capture has still yet to be officially announced by Liverpool.

As the Wirtz deal hits a delay, supporters are perhaps starting to get a little angsty on the arrival of Frimpong as well.

Fortunately, it has now been revealed when the 24-year-old’s addition will be formalised.

Such is the nature of the transfer window, some Liverpool fans will no longer even care about the arrival of Frimpong.

With a shinier, more expensive target in Wirtz, full focus will be on getting the deal for the German over the line.

Nevertheless, Frimpong will be an exciting addition to the Liverpool squad, and according to The Daily Mail, his arrival will be officially sealed in a matter of days.

They claim that the transfer ‘should be announced’ this Sunday, June 1st, when the transfer window opens.

On Wirtz, it is claimed there is ‘growing confidence’ from Liverpool that they will get the deal over the line.

Furthermore, the Reds are said to be accelerating efforts to sign Bournemouth left-back Kerkez.

With the Cherries reportedly looking for a £45m fee, Liverpool will aim to bring him in for less.

Given that all three of these deals are either done or close to it, it’s claimed that Liverpool fans could have a trio of brand new players by mid-June.

As well as offering an update on these three deals, The Mail also takes a quick look at whether anything else is likely to be done by Liverpool this summer.

There seemingly remains two transfers left to do, with a new centre-back and a central striker being on the shortlist.

In terms of defender, Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite is named as a potential option, although doubt is cast over how attainable he is.

Meanwhile, three strikers: Benjamin Sesko, Julian Alvarez and Hugo Ekitike, are all mentioned.

Things look set to ramp up in the coming days and weeks.

Once Frimpong is officially through the door, more cards will fall into place.
