Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions on Sunday, with the Reds now having the gift of time to look ahead towards the summer.
The Anfield side are set for a big transfer window with Paul Scholes suggesting that Liverpool could make six new signings, with virtually every position in Arne Slot’s squad up for changes if things go to plan.
With Liverpool linked with Jonothan David, it’s clear that an attacker is on the transfer list for the Merseyside giants, with Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz both linked with exits as Saudi Arabian clubs begin looking at Diogo Jota as a potential target.
As a result of one or even two forwards leaving Liverpool, additions in the attack are needed, and one of Aston Villa’s star players has now caught the attention of the Reds.

According to Sky Sports News, Liverpool have been ‘impressed’ with what they have seen from Morgan Rogers this season, with the England international establishing himself as one of Villa’s best players this season under Unai Emery.
As per the report, though, a deal to sign the former Middlesbrough star is unlikely to go through this summer, especially if Villa end up qualifying for the UEFA Champions League with Rogers starring as a key player.
Glenn Hoddle has likened Rogers to Wayne Rooney this season via TalkSport, the 22-year-old attacker has been nothing short of impressive for Villa, with the youngster bagging 14 goals and 13 assists in all competitions for the Villa Park side.

Yet with Villa in a good position to qualify for the Champions League and Rogers likely to cost a potential club record fee for Liverpool, there’s a real chance that this rumour could be snuffed out before it’s had any real room to grow, especially with so much work needed in the rest of the squad.
Playing all over the attacking line for Villa this season, Rogers’ versatility has made the former Manchester City academy star one of the best young players in the Premier League under Emery.
And for Liverpool, Rogers could be an exceptional signing for the Reds, with the 22-year-old having all the quality to compete with the likes of Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah as well as the potential to become a superstar at Anfield.
The tricky part will be convincing Villa to sell Rogers, though, as the Villians are unlikely to let the former Championship talisman leave for a Premier League rival, especially of Emery can guide the Villa Park side to the Champions League once again.
