Liverpool need multiple signings this summer, with a striker high up on the list for Arne Slot.

Had it not been for the goalscoring exploits of Mohamed Salah, Liverpool would not have dominated the Premier League as convincingly as they have this season, with Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo also impressing in front of goal for the Reds.

Whilst Alexander Isak remains Liverpool’s main striking target, Newcastle United’s £150m asking price for the Swedish international is a huge stumbling block for the Anfield side, who are unwilling to match this demand for the Magpies forward.

As a result, Liverpool are now preparing a bid to sign one of Europe’s most exciting prospects, with Arsenal also in the mix.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool are preparing to make their first move to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, with Arsenal also eyeing the Slovenian international after an incredible season with the Bundesliga side.

Sesko has managed 21 goals in all competitions for the Saxony-based side, with all signs pointing towards the former RB Salzburg star securing a big move away from Leipzig this summer, with Liverpool in the hunt for the striker.

With Sesko scoring an outrageous goal against Bayern Munich over the weekend, the Bundesliga youngster is rightfully regarded as one of the best prospects in Europe, with the Premier League likely to be the attacker’s next destination.

And with Liverpool preparing a bid for Sesko, the striker could end up leading the line for the Reds next season, with the 21-year-old ready for a move to England to become a star player for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool this summer, with the Uruguay international once again failing to reach the heights many expected from the striker under a manager like Slot, who has brought the likes of Diaz and Salah to new levels.

With Athletico Madrid and Nottingham Forest eyeing Nunez, a good fee could be coming Liverpool’s way if a deal can be reached to sell the striker, which will open the door for Sesko to be brought in if the forward hasn’t left Leipzig by then.

At 21, Sesko is raw and ready to be developed into one of the best strikers in the world, and a club like Liverpool with a manager like Slot can help the forward realise his immense potential in the years to come.
