The Reds had a manic start to the summer and by the looks of things, their ending will be just as chaotic.
Arne Slot still has plenty of changes that he wants to make to his squad, both in terms of buying and selling, indicating that his squad is far from complete.
Many young players are also set for permanent or loan moves away, with the path to Liverpool’s first-team very difficult given the quality they have.
However, despite significant interest in one young star, the Reds are refusing to let him go this summer as they perhaps think he might get some minutes, with Liverpool fans maybe even forgetting he existed despite the high praise he once received.

The defence is a key area that Liverpool need to sort out before the deadline, with a centre-back still needed due to their current fragilities.
As well as this, the left-back issue needs addressing, with the Reds currently having three options to choose from, although Kostas Tsimikas is wanted by some top clubs and is expected to depart soon.
Slot does have another option if he needs it too, with 21-year-old Luke Chambers still at the club, and Daily Mail journalist Lewis Steele has confirmed that he will be staying too.

Chambers, who was once hailed as ‘amazing’ by former teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold after making his Europa League debut in 2023, is currently injured, but the plan is to keep him until January at the earliest.
The left-back enjoyed a good spell at Wigan last season as well as Kilmarnock the year prior, with many clubs interested in his signature this summer.
Wigan were keen, and so too were Hull City among other Championship sides, although he will not be going to any of them according to Steele.
Chambers also has the ability to play in a back three, suggesting his versatility is a key reason why he is being kept around, with the youngster perhaps ready to get some minutes in the early rounds of cup competitions.
With Tsimikas expected to go, that leaves Milos Kerkez and Andy Robertson as the first-choice options, although this might not be the case for very long.
The Scotsman, who has featured over 300 times for Liverpool in the league, has just one year left on his current deal, with it unlikely that he will be offered a new one.
The 31-year-old had somewhat of a down season by his standards last campaign, hence why they were so keen to bring in Kerkez, with this perhaps his ninth, and final, season.
Chambers, therefore, might get a loan move in January to prove his worth once he is fully fit, with the aim being to reintegrate him into the first team next summer if all goes well.
