Liverpool will have mixed feelings about last season, having finished third in the Premier League but fallen short in other competitions.
Champions League football was secured and the League Cup trophy was clinched, but there were disappointing exits in the FA Cup and Europa League.
New manager Arne Slot now has a huge task on his hands when building a squad capable of going further this time around.
And that task will heavily involve transfers, with the Dutchman needing a big and talented squad in order to compete in all competitions.
But it won’t be easy keeping everyone happy in such a squad, with several players undoubtedly wanting regular minutes on the pitch.

One such player is Caoimhin Kelleher, with the goalkeeper’s future at the club uncertain given his deputy role at Liverpool.
The Republic of Ireland international has suggested that an exit is near due to his aims to be a number one goalkeeper.

The Athletic have now issued a transfer update on the 25-year-old, reporting that Liverpool are not actively looking to sell Kelleher, but would consider such a sale if an offer of more than £25million arrived.
The ‘quality’ goalkeeper made 26 appearances in all competitions last season as he filled in for the injured Alisson Becker for a large period of the campaign.
The stance from the Reds is unsurprising, with the Anfield club undoubtedly having one of the Premier League’s best back-up goalkeepers among their ranks.
The academy graduate has proven his ability between the sticks time and again, and has become a real hero among fans of the club thanks to his displays.

But sadly it looks like he may have played his last game for the Merseyside outfit, with Kelleher now at an age and time of his career where regular playing time should be prioritised.
Along with club ambitions, the Ireland international will want to improve his chances of being his country’s number one, and that won’t come by sitting on the bench at Liverpool.
It remains to be seen, however, if the Reds will manage to acquire such a significant fee for Kelleher, with large sums not usually spent on reserve goalkeepers.
He would, of course, become a number one at his new club if a fee of over £25million was spent for his services.
