The report shares that Bayern Munich’s director, Max Eberl, has been told that Diaz is ‘not for sale,’ and since then, discussions have gone ‘no further.’

Liverpool are not set to ‘entertain any approaches’ for Diaz, with Slot seeing him as an integral part of his plans in the 2025-26 season.

Liverpool have already gone through a free agent saga with Trent Alexander-Arnold this season, and it looks like they’re likely to go through the same thing again at the end of the 2026-27 campaign.

Diaz only has two years left on his current deal at Anfield, and unless they get rid of him this summer, they’ll hardly receive any money for him.

Of course, they could end up extending his stay, but by the end of the 2026-27 season, he’ll be 30 years old, and it’s unknown whether he’ll be as good as he is now.
