The Reds have a well-earned reputation for dealing with tragic events in the most classy way they possibly can.
Unfortunately, Liverpool have been hit with another unbelievably sad moment this week, after the news that forward Diogo Jota has tragically passed away.
Jota’s passing has shocked the whole world, with tributes continuing to pour in for a person and player who touched the lives of so many.
The people who need the most support in the aftermath and the years to come, are Jota’s family, who also lost his brother Andre Silva at the same time.

According to Portuguese outlet Record, that is exactly what the Reds are set to do.
They report that it has been confirmed to them that Liverpool’s intention is to pay the remaining two years on his contract to Jota’s family.
As the awful news of Thursday begins to truly hit home for people, Jota and Andre are set to be laid to rest on Saturday morning.

The likes of Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara, James Milner and Jordan Henderson have all travelled to pay their respects to a much-loved member of the Liverpool family.
Saturday will likely be one of the most difficult moments of the whole tragedy, and we urge and press in attendance to please show respect and treat those mourning with the space and gentleness they need and deserve.
