Liverpool are putting a lot of their players up for sale this summer as they look to trim down their squad.
Spending big comes at a huge cost, quite literally, but the future of certain players will, of course, be affected by the incomings.
After spending over £150m already this summer – after Milos Kerkez officially joins, that is – Liverpool’s focus is turning to getting rid of players before signing any more.
The attack is where the bulk of the activity may lie, as the Reds’ forward line is attracting plenty of interest and overhaul is likely to occur.
One player in particular has had somewhat of a torrid time since his Anfield arrival and it looks like his future lies elsewhere, or at least that is what the plan was.

Despite only playing 14 times for Liverpool across all competitions and registering just four goal involvements, Federico Chiesa is not short of potential suitors, with most of these coming from his homeland.

Napoli seemed the most keen on Chiesa but now, it appears to be a completely different story after the Italian club have agreed a deal with PSV for winger Noa Lang, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
This suggests that their move for the Liverpool player is now off the table, especially as they are spending around £24m for Lang’s services.
Napoli still want Darwin Nunez as well, making a move for the Italian even more unlikely, meaning he might have to stick around at Anfield a little while longer.
Atalanta still want Chiesa, however, so that is still an option, although the right deal will have to be struck, as Arne Slot is not opposed to giving him another shot in pre-season.
Liverpool are in desperate need of a striker, and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is a name regularly linked, with the possibility of it happening growing day-by-day.
The Reds were thinking of using the Italians’ interest in Nunez to potentially strike a swap deal with them for the Nigerian, with Chiesa also included as part of it.
However, their move for Lang may have scuppered their plans and destroyed any hope of this happening, meaning it is back to the drawing board for Richard Hughes.
Osimhen still remains an option as part of a separate deal, but Liverpool may look elsewhere as Hugo Ekitike is another player they appear keen on.
