The summer transfer window officially opens on Sunday, with Liverpool looking likely to be busier than ever before.
Ordinarily, the summer markets can be frustrating periods for Reds supporters, as they watch other teams do far more business.
However, the roles are set to be reversed this time.
Liverpool have already signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen and are pushing for Florian Wirtz to follow the same path.
Liverpool are deep in negotiations for Wirtz as they look to hash out what will ultimately be a club record transfer fee.
But despite what will be an outlay of almost £150m on Frimpong and Wirtz, Liverpool are not stopping there.
Once they’ve got their new attacking midfielder sorted out, the Reds are reportedly eager to bring as many as four more players to Anfield.

Whatever happens, Wirtz will be Liverpool’s statement signing of the summer.
Unless Alexander Isak suddenly becomes available they won’t be going quite so big on anyone else.
Nevertheless, significant funds will inevitably be spent, with Sky Sports confirming that a striker is in Liverpool’s sights once Wirtz is done.

Concrete links with Hugo Ekitike have started to appear and the Eintracht Frankfurt forward is one of four players Sky name as being on Liverpool’s list.
Isak is also put forward as an option, with Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko others said to be worth keeping an eye on.

Another ‘priority signing’ is claimed to be at left-back, where the Reds are reportedly targeting Milos Kerkez as someone to ‘share the load’ with Andy Robertson.
Liverpool are also said to have plans to bring in both a young centre-back and a defensive midfielder.
However, both of these additions are claimed to be ‘of less pressing need,’
More signings could reportedly then follow, but will be dependent on outgoings.
Although it is not yet clear who Liverpool could target at centre-back and defensive midfield, we may not have to wait long to find out which players are on the list.
The Reds have been trying to get Frimpong, Wirtz and Kerkez done nice and early and with the window now formally open for the next ten days, those efforts will ramp up.
With no international tournament this summer, Liverpool will no doubt be trying to get everyone in by the time pre-season begins on July the 8th.
Defensive midfield may be the outlier to this rule.
Liverpool are keen to assess Stefan Bajcetic ahead of the new season and whether the Reds enter the market or not may well depend on how they view the young Spaniard.
Either way, it’s time to strap in for what could be the most exciting transfer window in an age.
