As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Sterling was talking at a Financial Times Business of Sport Summit when he admitted he would be open to a move.

"Challenges and dreams I have set myself from a young age have been to play abroad."

"As an English player all I know is the Premier League and I have always had in my mind that maybe one day I would like to play abroad and maybe come up against that challenge.

The 26 year also said that despite playing his whole career so far in the Premier League he has always had the ambition of playing overseas.

This news will put big clubs across the continent on red alert as they look to add proven quality to their squad to help with their challenges in both domestic and European competition.
